As an IT Technology Consultant at SAP, your key responsibilities include:
- Incident, Alert, and Service Request Management: Handling and resolving issues related to SAP landscapes efficiently.
- SAP Landscape Delivery and Maintenance: Providing technical expertise and support for the delivery and upkeep of complex SAP environments.
- SAP Technology Implementation: Planning, setting up, and operating SAP technologies while ensuring high service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Server Landscape Administration: Designing, configuring, and managing server landscapes, with a focus on Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Addressing and resolving issues related to hardware, operating systems, applications, and databases that could impact business operations.
- Daily Operations Management: Ensuring the smooth operation of systems and maintaining high availability across all landscapes.
- Documentation and Operational Concepts: Developing and maintaining technical documentation, defining operational guidelines, and disseminating knowledge across the team.
- Global Coordination: Collaborating with international teams on global projects, managing crises, and de-escalating critical situations.
- Specialization and Ownership: Although you will be cross-trained in various areas (Basis/application, OS, and Database), you will specialize in one area and take ownership of incidents and service request resolutions from start to finish.
Role Requirements:
- Educational Background: A BE, BTech, or MCA degree from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a Technical SAP NetWeaver Consultant (ABAP and Java Basis Administration).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Business Object Products (BOBI, BODS, etc.).
- Experience in a UNIX/Linux environment, with knowledge of HANA DB and Sybase ASE databases.
- Basic understanding of Network and Storage systems.
- Product knowledge includes knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector, TOMCAT, IIS, IDM, SCM Optimizer, SAP Mobile Platform, TREX, Business Connector, GK Software, OpenText, Content Server, Convergent Charging, MDM, and SDM.
- Global Work Environment: Experience in working with international teams and virtual environments.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in technical documentation and the creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs).
- Learning and Analytical Skills: A proactive approach to acquiring new knowledge independently, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- ITIL Framework Exposure: Familiarity with ITIL practices.

- Knowledge of network services like DNS, LDAP, Samba, sFTP, Sendmail, and Postfix.
